Florence A Hagen

Florence A. Hagen, age 96 of Lankin, ND, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at the First Care Health Center of Park River. Florence A. Novak was born January 8, 1918 in Medford Township, North Dakota, the daughter of the late John J. and Anna (Cicha) Novak. She grew up and attended school in Medford Township. She was united in marriage to Harold Hagen on November 6, 1945 in Lankin, ND. Following their marriage the couple lived and farmed in the Lankin area. They retired in 1983 and moved into Lankin. Harold passed away on January 21, 1989 and Florence continued to make her home in Lankin until her death. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and Altar Society of Lankin and the Lankin Senior Citizens. Florence had a green thumb and enjoyed working with flowers, especially African Violets. She is survived by her daughter Marlys (Ken) Wills, Pelham, NH, sister Emma Nelson, Orville, CA, and brother Stanley Novak, Park River, ND. Many nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters Ann Lindell and Rose Midthun, and brother John H. Novak. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, November 10, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Lankin. Visitation will be Sunday from 3-5 with a prayer service at 5:00 P.M. at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Park River. Friends may also call at the church for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery of Lankin.
