Flora Theresa Pilon

Flora Pilon, age 96 of Grafton, passed away December 4, 2025 at the Lutheran Sunset Home.

Flora Theresa Sevigny was born July 14, 1929 to Edward and Emma (Demers) Sevigny in Oakwood, ND. Flora was united in marriage to Oliver Pilon on July 12, 1950 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oakwood, ND. They made their home on a farm in St. Andrew’s Township where they farmed until retiring and moving to Grafton in 1992. Oliver passed away in December of 2005. In 2016, Flora moved to the Leisure Estates and eventually the Lutheran Sunset Home.

Flora was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Grafton. She enjoyed spending time with Oliver and the rest of her family and friends, whether that be in Grafton, their cabin at Maple Lake, or in Arizona where the couple enjoyed many winters. Some of her favorite hobbies and pastimes included ice fishing with Oliver, baking the best cookies for her grandchildren, and quilting with her sister. Many nights were spent with siblings and relatives playing cards and other games with one another.

Flora is survived by her son, Noel, Grafton, ND; daughter, Gayle (Bernard) Brewer, Fargo, ND; daughter-in-law, Jill Pilon, Grafton, ND; grandchildren: Tyler and Kayla Pilon, Drayton, ND; Elizabeth Pilon, Fargo, ND; Samantha Brewer, Baltimore, MD; Danielle (Eric) Johnson, Big Lake, MN; and great-grandchildren, Liam and Emmie Johnson. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Francis Pilon, and many nieces and nephews and their children.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Brian Pilon and his wife Deanne; grandson, Kevin Brewer; her brothers and their spouses: Victorien, Eugene (Jean), Daniel (Louise), and Orell (JoAnne); her sisters and their spouses: Rosalie (Roland) Lessard, and Alma (Louis) Collette; in-laws: Jerome Pilon (Mae Belle and Lois), Regina Pederson, and sister-in-law, Lenore Pilon.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Grafton. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery of Oakwood, ND in the spring.
