Evelyn M. Janousek, age 93 of Grafton, ND went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 19, 2009 at the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton, ND.
Evelyn Marie Linhart was born January 16, 1916 in Grafton, ND the daughter of the late William and Anna (Lust) Linhart. She grew up and attended rural school near Grafton. Evelyn was united in marriage to John V. Janousek on October 27, 1937 at St. John's Catholic Church. The couple lived and farmed near Veseleyville, ND. In 1967 the couple moved to Grafton. Evelyn worked as a Ward Supervisor at the Grafton Developmental Center for 19 years, retiring in 1981.
Evelyn was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church where she was a very active volunteer. She also volunteered at the Lutheran Sunset Home.
Evelyn is survived by her children: Sr. Francine (Betty) Janousek, PBVM., Fargo, ND; Frank (Cynthia) Janousek, Grafton, ND; Fran Hovet, Enterprise, AL; four grandchildren: Michelle (Lynn) Clement, Zachary, LA; Cheri (Jim) Borneman, Bethlehem, PA; Kathy (Trey) Martin, Enterprise, AL; Karissa (Brad) Bladow, Hankinson, ND; eight great grandchildren and sister Helen Linhart, Grafton, ND.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband on March 14, 1969, a grandson John Frank Janousek and son-in-law, David Hovet.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, April 24, 2009 at 10:30 A.M. at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Grafton. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM and on Friday for one hour prior to the service all at the church. Interment will be at the St. Luke's Catholic Cemetery, Veseleyville, ND. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer memorials to the Lutheran Sunset Home or the Presentation Sisters of Fargo, ND.
The Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton is in charge of the arrangements.
