Eva Mae Welsh

Eva Mae Welsh, age 79 of Grafton, ND passed away Saturday, December 8, 2018 at the Altru Hospital of Grand Forks.

Eva Mae Jerome was born May 23, 1939 in Leroy, ND, the daughter of the late Frederic and Clothilda (Latraille) Jerome.  She attended school in the Leroy area. Eva was united in marriage to Richard Welsh on December 10, 1965.  The couple made their home in Walhalla for a time until moving to Grafton, where they raised their children.  Eva continued to make her home in Grafton until the time of her death.

She loved to spend time with her family, especially having family dinners with them.  She enjoyed playing cards.

Eva is survived by her son, Clifford Welsh, Frazee, MN; daughter-in-law, Anita Johnson, Ogema, MN; children:  Carrie Welsh, Grafton, ND; Shelly Welsh, Bagley, MN; Richard Welsh, Grafton, Patrick Don Welsh; Kim (Kris) Dahl, Drayton, ND; David John Anderson, McIntosh, MN; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Stanley Jerome, Lankin, ND; sister, Susie (Elmer) Derringer, Walhalla, ND.  She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Susan Welsh, son, Wesley Wade Welsh, brothers: Leonard, Richard and Gilbert.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at 11:30 A.M. at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Grafton.  Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.  Interment will be at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Leroy, ND, in the spring.
