Erma A Brevik

Erma A. Brevik, age 91 of Edinburg, ND passed away on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Center of Park River. Erma A. Erovick was born September 23, 1918 in Park River, ND the daughter of the late James and Annie (Kittleson) Erovick. She attended rural school near Park River. Following her education, Erma did housekeeping for several families in the area. Erma was united in marriage to Verner Brevik on November 22, 1941 in Edinburg, ND. The couple made their home there where she worked as a waitress at the Amundrud Café for over 25 years and in the kitchen at the Edinburg School for 14 years. Erma was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and WELCA. Erma is survived by her children: Ann Marie Wittkop, Moorhead, MN; David Brevik, Grand Forks, ND; Faye (Sam) Steimetz, Pomeroy, OH; Duane (Jane) Brevik Moorhead, MN; Mary (Steve) Langerud, Edinburg, ND; Daniel Brevik, Moorhead, MN; Joy Lane (Gary Barclay), Crystal, ND. Erma is also survived by the "Lights of her Heart", her 25 grandhchildren: Brenda, Annette, Tracey, Brian, Tammy, Sheree, David Jr., Richie, Lisa, Jared, Amy, Kelly, Katie, Steve Jr., Jane, Jill, Raven, Dallas, Dani, Shasta, Shadow, Wolfgang, Shane, Jessica and Chris. She is also survived by numerous great and great great grandchildren and her sister Jean Mandt, Carson City, NV. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband on August 7, 1977, her son James, daughter Jane and granddaughter Julie, sister Margaret and brothers Gordon and Art. Funeral services will be Friday, April 16, 2010 at 2:30 PM at the Trinity Lutheran Church of Edinburg, ND. Visitation will be Friday for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Because of allergies in the family, the family would request that those attending the service would refrain from using perfumes and colognes.
