Elvina F. Fagerholt, age 88 of Hoople, ND passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at the Borg Pioneer Memorial Home of Mountain, ND.
Elvina F. Rustan was born July 26, 1919 near Hoople, ND the daughter of the late Thomas P. and Ambjor "Emma" (Peterson) Rustan. She attended rural school near Hoople and graduated from the Walsh County Agricultural School in Park River in 1937. She graduated from Aaker's Business College in Grand Forks. She worked at the Grand Forks County Auditor's Office and AGSCO prior to her marriage to Arthur Fagerholt on July 16, 1946 in Hoople. The couple lived and farmed near Hoople until his death in 1960. Elvina remained on the family farm until November of 2007 when she moved to the Borg Pioneer Memorial Home in Mountain.
Elvina was a member of the First Lutheran Church and WELCA, the Northeast North Dakota China Painters Guild and the Hoople American Legion Auxiliary.
Elvina is survived by her son Mark (Linda) Fagerholt, Hoople, ND; daughter-in-law; Betty Jo Fagerholt, Fargo, ND; four grandchildren: Thea (Mike) Killeen, Coon Rapids, MN; Barry (Chrissy) Fagerholt, Highland Ranch, CO; Bryan (Michelle) Fagerholt, Engelwood, CO; John Fagerholt, Fargo, ND; three great grandchildren; Preston & Jolayne Killeen and Hudson Fagerholt; sister: Ann Fagerholt, Hoople, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Jay, two brothers: Palmer and George and five sisters: Selina, Alice, Helen, Mabel and twin sister Evelyn.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Lutheran Church, Hoople, ND. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-7 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church on Wednesday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Hoople City Cemetery.
Memorials are preferred to the Borg Pioneer Memorial Home in Mountain or the First Lutheran Church of Hoople, ND.
The Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton is in charge of the arrangements.
