Elizabeth Ann Erickson

Elizabeth A. “Betty” Erickson, age 73 of Grafton, ND passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017 at the Unity Medical Center of Grafton.

Elizabeth Ann Schanilec was born November 17, 1944 in Grafton, ND the daughter of the late John and Madeline (Fee) Schanilec. She grew up and attended school in Minto, graduating from Minto High School. Betty was united in marriage to Leroy Erickson on February 13, 1965 in Minto, ND. The couple made their home in Grafton. Betty worked as a nurse’s aide at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Unity Hospital in Grafton. She later worked as a home health provider.

Betty is survived by her husband, Leroy, Grafton, ND; her sons: Shane (Kim) Erickson, Osceloa, WI; Jeff (Tammy) Erickson, Grand Forks, ND; her granddaughter, Crystal; step-grandchildren: Gavin, Amanda, Candice and Lindsey; her brothers: Jim (Louise) Schanilec and Lenny Schanilec, both of Minto. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, John Jr. and sister-in-law, Ann Schanilec.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Minto. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Private family interment will take place in the spring.
