Eleanor B. Aasand

Eleanor B. Aasand, age 97 of Grafton, ND passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Bethany on 42 ^nd in Fargo, ND.

Eleanor B. Davis was born July 17, 1924 in Walsh County, ND the daughter of the late E.B. and Hulda (Hill) Davis. She attended rural school and graduated from Grafton High School. Eleanor was united in marriage to Jevon Aasand on November 5, 1943 in Grafton. The couple lived and farmed near Grafton. In 1949 they moved into town.  Jevon passed away on June 24, 2000. Eleanor continued to make her home in Grafton until moving to Bethany on 42 ^nd in January of this year.

She was a member of the Grafton Lutheran Church and WELCA, the Grafton P.E.O., La Boheme, and several birthday and bridge clubs. Eleanor and Jeep enjoyed spending time on Lake of the Woods.

She is survived by her son, David, Grafton, ND; son-in-law, Rodger (Deb) Mohagen, West Fargo, ND; grandson, Thomas, Fargo, ND; two great grandchildren: Kennedi and Beckham. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Mark, daughter Joan and siblings: Percy, Marvin and Harriet Griffiths.

Funeral services will be Friday, February 11, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Grafton Lutheran Church. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment will be at Grafton Lutheran Cemetery in the spring.
