Elda P. Momerak

Elda P. Momerak, age 76 of Park River passed away Sunday, August 7, 2011 at the First Care Health Center of Park River. Elda P. Peterson was born June 15, 1935 in Clear Water, Manitoba, Canada, the daughter of the late Peter A. and Ruby (McKellar) Peterson. Elda and her family became United States Citizens in 1949. She graduated from the Walsh County Agricultural School, Park River. She worked at Grafton National Bank following her graduation. She was united in marriage to Wallace Momerak on April 5, 1958 in Grafton, ND. The couple made their home in Park River where they raised their family. She was a member of the Our Saviour's Lutheran Church and WELCA. Elda is survived by her husband Wallace; children: Carol (Ronnie) Phillips, Rochester, MN; Cheryl (Steve) Church, Grand Forks, ND; Douglas (Connie) Momerak, Grand Forks, ND; grandchildren: Ali & Jacob Church and Bryce, Blaine & Brandi Momerak; siblings Floyd (Doris) Peterson, Plymouth, MN; Delaine (John) Russum, Grafton, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter Ashley Momerak. Memorial Services will be Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at the Our Saviour's Lutheran Church of Park River. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday for one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Our Saviour's Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society.
