Eileen Ruth Morley, 93, passed away January 7, 2026 at the Lutheran Sunset Home in Grafton, ND. She was born June 23, 1932 at home near Zap, ND to David and Tilly (Kroh) Fischer. She was the longest living member of her immediate family.
She attended school through 8th grade, then took correspondence for further education. She married Frank Morley from Bismarck, ND on June 25, 1955. They owned and operated Morley Electric in Killdeer, ND. In 1975, the family moved to Edgeley, ND where she held various employment positions from childcare to custodial. In 1987, they moved to Fargo, ND and she was employed by St. John Lutheran Church where she worked as the church secretary and as a certified boiler maker until her retirement. She enjoyed camping at Meadow Lake near Detroit Lakes, MN. She also enjoyed league bowling, ceramics, quilting, embroidery (esp. making Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls for family and friends), coloring, cooking and spending time with family.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Allen) Tucker, St. Thomas, ND; son, Dave Morley (Marilyn Maskey), Fargo, ND; Grandchildren: Gregory (Jessica) Tucker, Kari Tucker, Tyler Morley, Zachary (Kaitlin) Morley and Montana Morley; sister-in-law Irene Fischer, Beulah, ND, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank, parents, David and Tilly Fischer, Frank’s parents Lyman and Sophie Morley, in-laws: Reuben and Alma Fischer, Edna and Reuben Karlin and Virgil Biloff, Ray Fischer, Ruth Fischer, Roy & Evelyn Sandberg, Nowell Farley, Chuck and Ruth Wilson, Dick and Arvilla Wisti; nieces Betty Lou Gerving, Caroline Brinkman, Marilyn Karlin, KoKo Karlin, Kathy Farley.
Services will be held at the Tollefson Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, with visitation one hour before service. Service will also be live-streamed on the funeral home website.. Inurnment will be held at the Veteran’s Cemetery in Mandan, ND in May or June, 2026.
