Eileen H Loe

Eileen H. Loe, age 98 of Grafton, formerly of Cavalier, ND, passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton.

Eileen Vote was born August 2, 1925 in Crocus, ND, the daughter of the late Earl and Emma (Schumacher) Vote.  She grew up and attended school in Egeland, ND.  She was united in marriage to Glenn Loe on June 19, 1945 in Egeland.  The couple made their home in Bisbee before moving to Cavalier, ND in 1957. The couple ran Glenn’s Bar in Cavalier and farmed in the Bisbee area for many years.  Glenn passed away on November 18, 1998 and she continued to make her home in Cavalier until moving into the Lutheran Sunset Home.

She was a member of the Ladies Aide and Hospital Auxiliary, the Homemaker’s Club, Rainbow, as well as helping with DeMolay while her son was a member.  She was an avid baker, often donating her baked goods to local bake sales.

She is survived by her children: Glenda (Darryl) Stansill, Peoria, AZ, Rita Rae Loe, Grafton, ND, and Tia Marie (Steven) Wieler, Grafton, ND; 3 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and sister Latane Peterson, Grafton, ND.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Glenn, son Roger (Pam) Loe, grandson Marc, granddaughter Amy, and brother-in-law Johnny Peterson.

A memorial service with committal rites will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Lutheran Sunset Home Chapel in Grafton, ND with inurnment taking place at the Union Cemetery, Egeland, ND.
