Edward J. Rose

Edward J. Rose, age 67 of Grafton, ND passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at his home in Grafton. Edward J. Rose was born March 7, 1948 in Grafton, ND the son of the late Cy and Eileen (Ness) Rose. He attended schools in Grafton, ND and graduated from Lake Region Technical College in Devils Lake in Automotive Repair. In 1965 the family moved to Seattle, WA and Ed worked for Boeing Aircraft. Ed was united in marriage to Patti Peterson on January 10, 1966 in Seattle. The couple lived in Seattle until returning to Grafton in 1968. He worked for Simonson Gas Stations for a time and later worked masonry construction for over 30 years, retiring in 2005. Ed enjoyed playing softball, hunting and fishing and the occasional casino. Most of all he loved to spend time with his family, especially his six granddaughters. He is survived by his wife, Patti, Grafton, ND; children: Curtis Rose and his special friend, Cherie, Grafton, ND; Tracey (Cory) Burns, Grafton, ND; granddaughters: Anna, Breanna, Stephanie, Alex, Lindsey and Jaden, his sister, Donna Allen, Grafton, ND. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Paul and Robert and half-sister, Kristi. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, November 2, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Grafton. Visitation will be Monday for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.
