Edward James Climer, Sr.

Edward James Climer, Sr., age 73, of Grafton, ND passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at his home in Grafton. Edward James Climer was born January 23, 1940 in Sauk Centre, MN, the son of the late Thelma Darkow. He was united in marriage to Carol Climer June 24, 2006 in Bemidji, MN. The couple moved to Grafton in 2010 where they continued to live until the time of his death. He was a member of the Salvation Army. Edward is survived by his wife Carol; daughter Billi Jo Climer; son Ed Climer, Jr.; step-sons: James (Marge) Locke and Harold Schmidt, Jr.; several grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive. Siblings: Betty (Gary) White, Mary (Peter DeBungee) Rindy, Richard (Bonnie) Darkow, Shirley (Donald) Jantzen, Arlene (Chris) Nordrum, Wanda (Claude Cater) Nelson, Martha (Keith) Holt, Alice (Ron) Vojak, Marlys Westerlund, Janet (Frankie) Lutgen and John (Kym) Darkow. He was preceded in death by his mother Thelma Darkow. Memorial services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton.
