Earl T. Lee

Earl T. Lee, age 75 of Grafton, ND passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at the Altru Hospital of Grand Forks. Earl Thomas Lee was born October 31, 1935 in Grafton, ND the son of the late Tollef and Elida (Midboe) Lee. He grew up and attended school in Hoople, ND. Following his education he worked for area farmers and later farmed himself for a short time. He served in the United States Army from August of 1958 to December of 1959. Following his discharge he returned home and started working at Borden's in Grafton. He was united in marriage to Carol Franklin on July 2, 1960 in Grafton, ND. The couple made their home here. In 1968 he went to work as a carpenter at the Grafton Developmental Center. He retired in 1996 and drove the bakery truck for Wally's for a time. He later drove the courier route for Bremer Bank. Earl loved to attend auction sales, rummage sales and was an avid bird feeder. He is survived by his wife Carol, Grafton, ND; son Darren Lee, Grand Forks, ND; grandson Seth Lee, Grand Forks, ND; sister Elaine Thrugstad, Grafton, ND; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will Saturday, june 4, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Bethel Free Lutheran Church. Visitation will be Friday from 5-7 with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church on Saturday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Grafton City Cemetery. Military rites will be provided by the Grafton American Legion Post #41 and the North Dakota National Guard Honor Guard.
