Earl Anderson

January 15, 1918 — May 7, 2008

Earl W. Anderson, age 90, of Grafton, ND passed away Wednesday, May 07, 2008 at First Care Health Center of Park River, ND. Earl W. Anderson was born January 15, 1918 in Glenwood Township near Hoople, ND to the late Frank and Clara (Gryde) Anderson.  He attended school in Glenwood Township.  Following his education he farmed with his parents.  Earl married Ione Midgarden on December 7, 1939 in Crookston, MN.  The couple made their home in Fertile Township where he farmed his entire life.

He was a member of the South Trinity Lutheran Church, South Trinity Lutheran Cemetery Board, and Church Council, he served as Fertile Township Supervisor, 4-H Leader for years, first president of Walsh County Water Users, and was involved with the Grafton Youth Hockey.

Earl is survived by his wife Ione; his children Ross (Colleen) Anderson, Grafton, ND, Vance (Karen) Anderson, Grafton, ND, and Genell (Wayne) Jallo, Fordville, ND; grandchildren Shelly (David) Wickert, Tacoma, WA, Melissa Anderson, Grafton, ND, Lindsey Anderson, East Grand Forks, MN, Megan (Davis) Thompson, West Fargo, ND, Holly Anderson, Phoenix, AZ, Paul Anderson, Grafton, ND, Phillip Jallo, Bismarck, ND and Nathan & Adam Jallo, Fordville, ND; great grandchildren Shelby Wickert, and Carter Wickert; brother Lyle (Yvonne) Anderson, Grand Forks, ND and sister Marilyn (Jack) Mattson, Moorhead, MN. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Eldon, & Willard "Butch" Anderson and sister Verna Duray.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at South Trinity Lutheran Church, rural Grafton, ND. Visitation will be Friday, May 9, 2008 from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Tollefson Funeral Home in Grafton, ND.  Friends may also call at the church on Saturday for one hour prior to the service.  Interment will be at the South Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Rural Grafton, ND.

The Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton is in charge of the arrangements.
