Duayne R. Pitcher

Duayne R. Pitcher, age 58 of Edinburg, ND passed away Sunday, July 21, 2013 at the First Care Health Center of Park River. Duayne R. Pitcher was born December 3, 1954 in Langdon, ND, the son of Veronica (DeNault) Pitcher and the late Stanley Pitcher. He graduated from Park River High School. After graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving in Germany from 1974-1976. He then returned to Park River and worked various jobs in the community. He was united in marriage to Jeanette Forsman in the spring of 1979, she passed away in 1986. On September 10, 1990 he was united in marriage to Diane Tveit. The couple made their home in Grafton. In 2005 they moved to Edinburg where the continued to make their home until the time of his death. Duayne is survived by his wife Diane Pitcher, Edinburg, ND; children: Cheri (Ben) Dischinger, Rosemount, MN; Cindy Morstad, Casper, WY; Tom Morstad, Jr., Edinburg, ND; mother Veronica Pitcher, Park River, ND; siblings: Eileen (Dick) Halvorson, Tacoma, WA; Eldon Pitcher, Apache Junction, AZ; David Pitcher, Park River, ND; Donald Pitcher, Park River, ND; Lori (Don) Flaten, Springfield, NE; sister-in-law: Kathy Pitcher, St. Louis Park, MN. He was preceded in death by his wife Jeanette, father Stanley, brother Marvin and sister Vivian. Memorial services will be Thursday, July 25, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Trinity Lutheran Church of Edinburg. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment will be at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery of Edinburg. Military Rites will be provided by the Davidson American Legion Post #156 and the North Dakota National Guard Honor Guard.
