Duane Christinson

Duane J. Christinson, age 77 of St. Thomas, ND, passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022 at his home in St. Thomas.

Duane Christinson was born May 3, 1945 in Pelan Township, MN, the son of the late Frank and Julia (Martinson) Christinson Sr.  He attended school in Karlstad, MN.  Following his education he worked for several area farmers in the Karlstad area before starting his own trucking company.  He was united in marriage to Marie Lorenzen on July 29, 1967 and together they had a son James.  He later married Ann Hultgren on June 20, 1987 and they had a son Duane Jr.  He moved to Hamilton in 1993 where he continued to own and operate his own trucking company and haul scrap metal.  He had recently moved to St. Thomas.

He enjoyed working with scrap metal and visiting with family and friends whenever he could.

Duane is survived by his children: James (Terri) Christinson, Grafton, ND and Duane (Nicole) Christinson Jr., New Richmond, WI; 7 grandchildren: Brady, Britney, Brooklyn, Kaiden, Brooks, Luke and Caleb; brothers: Frank (Audrey) Christinson Jr., Cavalier, ND and David (Liz) Christinson, Strathcona, MN.  He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Gary Christinson.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Karlstad Cemetery, Karlstad MN.
