Douglas Allen Steiner

Douglas Allen Steiner, age 48 of the Grafton Developmental Center passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at the Unity Medical Center of Grafton. Douglas Allen Steiner was born February 10, 1962 in Richardton, ND the son of Anton and Caroline (Kuntz) Steiner. He was a loving person to be with all his life. He moved to the Developmental Center at the age of six because he was very limited in all ways. Our angel on earth got to come home for short visits several times. He attended St. John's Catholic Church and the All Faith's Chapel at the Developmental Center. Dougy was a member of the Community Helpers Group at the Developmental Center. He helped distribute birthday buttons. He is survived by his parents Tony and Caroline Steiner, Mott, ND; seven siblings: Jim Steiner and Mary Heidecker both of Belle Fourche, SD; Ray Steiner and David Steiner both of Mott, ND; Howard Steiner, Aurora, CO; Eileen Golian, Columbia, MD; Gary Steiner, Baldwin, ND. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Private graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at the Sunny Slope Cemetery, Mott, ND. Doug's four brothers who all served in the military will serve as pallbearers. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at 1:45 PM at the All Faith's Chapel at the Grafton Developmental Center.
