Douglas C. Omdahl

Douglas C. Omdahl, age 86 of Conway, ND passed away on Monday, February 07, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Center of Park River. Douglas C. Omdahl was born Aug. 2, 1924 in Conway, ND the son of the late Lars and Hannah (Neilson) Omdahl. He grew up and graduated from Conway High School. Following his education he served in the US Army from 1944-45, serving in Italy. Following his discharge he returned home and was united in marriage to Audrey Usletten. The couple made their home in Conway where he worked as a Section Foreman for the Soo Line Railroad for 43 years. Audrey passed away on Oct. 12, 2004 and Douglas moved to the Good Samaritan Center in 2007. Douglas is survived by his children: Ron (Jeanine) Omdahl, Grand Forks, ND; Doug (Harriett) Omdahl, Penn, ND; Randy Omdahl, Fordville, ND; Kay (Kevin) Papenfuss, Park River, ND; Mark Omdahl, Conway, ND; six grandchildren, three great grandchildren and siblings: Lloyd (Ruth) Omdahl, Grand Forks, ND; Dean Omdahl, Dazey, ND; Lawrence (Judy) Omdahl, Fordville, ND; Grace Eisner, Conway, ND; Doris Gilbertson, Conway, ND; Frances Omdahl, Seattle, WA and Glen Omdahl, Seattle, WA. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and siblings: David, Harris and Donald. Private graveside services will be held this spring in Conway, ND.
