Dorothy Ann Stenerson

Dorothy Ann Stenerson, age 81 of Park River, ND and formerly of Adams, ND passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at her home in Park River. Dorothy Ann Kratochvil was born July 20, 1932 near Lankin, ND the daughter of the late William and Adeline (Swartz) Kratochvil. She grew up and attended school near Lankin, ND. Dorothy was united in marriage to Ernest Stenerson on June 5, 1954 in Lankin, ND. The couple lived and farmed near Adams, ND. She ran the Drive-Inn in Adams with her sister-in-law, Ardell Stenerson, in the 60' and 70's. Ernest passed away on March 5, 1988. Dorothy continued to make her home in Adams until March of 2014 when she moved to Park River. Dorothy was a member of the Adams Mountain Lutheran Church and WELCA and the Adams American Legion Auxiliary. She is survived by her children: Ernest Lynn Stenerson, Park River, ND and Lynette Stenerson, Tacoma, WA; her grandchildren: Kiki, Devane and Dana Duncan, four great grandchildren: Malcolm, MaKayla, Kiki Jr and Jasmine Duncan. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers: William Jr. and Duane and sisters: Irene, Henrietta and Adeline. Funeral services will be Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. at the Mountain Lutheran Church of Adams. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Park River. Friends may also call at the church on Thursday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Hoff Lutheran Cemetery, rural Lankin, ND.
