Dorothy I. Lykken

Dorothy I. Lykken, age 82 of Milton, ND passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at the Maple Manor Care Center of Langdon. Dorothy I. Jonasson was born July 27, 1929 in Montrose Township, Cavalier County, the daughter of the late Jonas and Ingeborg (Bergman) Jonasson. She was raised and attended school in the area. She was united in marriage to Leo Lykken April 25, 1948 in Edinburg, ND. The couple farmed near Milton until 2002 and continued living on the farm. Leo passed away October 5, 2005. Dorothy continued living on the farm until moving to Maple Manor, after a brief illness, on April 13, 2012. She is survived by her children: Jerry (Lois) Lykken, Milton, ND; Susan (Joe) Gratton, Devils Lake, ND; Pamela Lykken, Edinburg, ND; eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and three step great grandchildren. She was the last survivor of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons: Loren and Ernest, sisters: Pansy, Sig and Runa, brothers: John, George and Percy. Funeral services will be Saturday May 19, 2012 at 1:30 PM at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Edinburg. Visitation will be Friday 5-7 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Edinburg. Friends may also call at the church on Saturday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Hitterdahl Lutheran Cemetery, rural Adams.
