Dorothy E. Crowder

Dorothy E. Crowder age 99 of Grafton, ND and formerly of Hoople, ND passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton. Dorothy E. McMahon was born June 18, 1914 in Glasston, ND the daughter of the late Ed and Alice (Broadbent) McMahon. She grew up and attended school there. Dorothy was united in marriage to Edward Crowder on May 29, 1937. The couple made their home in Hoople. She worked at Hoople Potato Products in Hoople for many years. Edward passed away on August 27, 1975. Dorothy moved to Grafton in 2004 and in October of 2009 she moved to the Lutheran Sunset Home. Dorothy is survived by her son, Russell (Betty) Crowder, Hoople, ND; four granddaughters: Bridget Gram, Stacey Reilly, Tracy Uggerud and Amy McKenzies, 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ed, daughter Donna Uggerud and sisters: Amy, Maudie and Ella Mae. Private graveside services will be held at Hoople City Cemetery.
