Dorothy Ann Bittner

Dorothy A. Bittner, age 63 of Grafton, ND passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Unity Medical Center of Grafton. Dorothy Ann Kasprick was born December 12, 1947 in Grafton, ND the daughter of the late Sylvester A. and Rayfina S. (Slominski) Kasprick. She attended elementary school in Acton Township and graduated from Grafton High School in 1965. She attended Josef's school of Hair Design in Grand Forks. Following her education she returned to Grafton and worked at Verna's Beauty Shop. She married Roger Bittner on June 15, 1972 in Grafton. The couple lived in Fargo, Hillsboro and Mesa, Az. She returned to Grafton in May of 1997 and worked at the Unity Hospital and Lutheran Sunset Home. She was currently working in Food Services at the Grafton Public School. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and Altar Society. She is survived by her siblings: twin brother Daniel (Patricia) Kasprick, Grafton, ND; Adeline Woinarowicz, Euclid, MN; Leonard Kasprick, Bay Point, CA; Raymond Kasprick, Grafton, ND and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Joseph and grandparents Leo and Anna Kasprick and John and Emma Slominski. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, November 18, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Grafton, ND. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church on Friday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.
