Doris M. Langowski

Doris M. Langowski, age 81 of Grafton, ND passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton. Doris M. French was born August 21, 1930 in Grafton, ND, the daughter of the late Henry and Ernestine (Lessard) French. She grew up in the Oakwood area and attended the St. Aloysius Academy. She began working for Nelson Drug Store and as a waitress in a small café in Grafton. She was united in marriage to Stanley Langowski on November 8, 1949 in Oakwood. The couple made their home in Grafton, the home that Stanley built, and raised their family there. In May 2012, Doris moved to the Lutheran Sunset Home. She was a member of the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and Altar Society and was a past member of the VFW Auxiliary. Doris is survived by her husband Stanley Langowski, Grafton, ND; daughter Linda (Gregory) Everson, Denver, CO; son-in-law Dan Leedahl, Grafton, ND; grandchildren: Bradley Everson, Denver, CO; Todd Everson, Columbia, SC; Travis Leedahl, Fargo, ND; Trisha Leedahl, Grafton, ND; sisters: Lorraine McCoy, AZ; Rose Kostecki, Devils Lake, ND; Annabelle French, AZ; Marcella (Laverne) Holweg, Grand Forks, ND; Germaine (Aime) Pokrzywinski, Manvel, ND; Estelle (Dan) Vanyo, Minneapolis, MN; Jane (Don) Osowski, Grafton, ND; Geri (Bill) DiRocco, MT; brothers: Wilmer French, AZ; Larry French, Velva, ND; Henry French, Jr., Minot, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Richard Langowski, daughter Cynthia Leedahl, sisters: Blanche Snyder, Georgette Lizakowski, Clarabelle French and brother Marcel French. Mass of Christian Burial will be Sunday, August 19, 2012 at 2:30 PM at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Grafton. Visitation will be Saturday from 5-7 with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may call at the church on Sunday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the St. John's Catholic Cemetery.
