Doris M. Corneillie

Doris M. Corneillie, age 72 of Grafton, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 23, 2013 at her home in Grafton. Doris M. Lorenzen was born October 23, 1941 in Drayton, ND the daughter of the late Clyde and Elizabeth (Staskivige) Lorenzen. She grew up and attended schools there. Doris was united in marriage to Henry Corniellie on February 10, 1962 in St. Thomas, ND. The couple resided in St. Thomas, Forest River, Hoople and Grafton. Doris worked as the assistant manager at Country Kitchen and manager of the Kentucky Fried Chicken in Grafton. The couple moved to Grafton in 1983 and Doris was a daycare provider for 20 years. She also worked part-time for her daughter-in-law, Susie Corniellie at Marketplace on 8th. The passing of our mother came unexpectedly, but peacefully and she now joins her family in heaven. Doris is survived by her children: Jim (Vicki) Corneillie, Grafton, ND; John (Susie) Corneillie, Grafton, ND; Henry Corneillie Jr., Orlando, FL; Jennifer (Kim) Hooey, Grafton, ND; three grandchildren: Wyatt, Derek and Taylor, her sisters: Vangie Hess, Hallock, MN; Ruthy (Ray) Wenlund, Crystal, MN; Mary (Buzz) Burns, Jane (Herman) Barta and Judy (Terry) Mattson, all of St. Thomas, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Brenda on Jan. 19, 1986, brothers: Billy, Steven, Duane, Jerry and Donny and sisters: Delphine, Rosie, Shirley and Darlene and her beloved dog Smoky. Funeral services will be Monday, December 30, 2013 at 10;30 A.M. at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Visitation will be Sunday from 3-5 PM and Monday for one hour prior to the service, all at the funeral home in Grafton. Interment will be at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.
