Doris M. Beavers

Doris M. Beavers, age 83 of Grand Forks, ND and formerly of Grafton, ND passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at her home in Grand Forks.

Doris M. Melbye was born October 7, 1934 near Fargo, ND the daughter of the late Adolph and Helga (Myhre) Melbye. She grew up and attended schools near Fargo and graduated from Interstate Business College. Following her education she worked at NDSU for a time. Doris was united in marriage to Dale Beavers on December 4, 1961 in Casa Grande, AZ. The couple moved back to Fargo and lived there until 1966 when they moved to Grafton. Doris worked in the accounting department at the Developmental Center until retiring in 2000. She moved to Grand Forks in 2014.

Doris was a member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church and WELCA in Grafton.

She is survived by her children: Bonnie Hlavinka and Robert (Denise) Beavers, both of Grafton, ND; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband on June 7, 2000 and an infant sister, Florence Ann.

Funeral services will be Friday, November 17, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton, ND. Visitation will be Friday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Grafton Lutheran Cemetery in the spring.
