Donna Mattson

Donna R. Mattson, age 73 of Grafton, ND passed away Thursday, November 6, 2008 at the Lutheran Sunset Home surrounded by her loving family. Donna R. McMahon was born July 27, 1935 in Coeur d'Alene, ID the daughter of the late Melvin "Bud" and Marion (Williams) McMahon.  She grew up and graduated from high school in Lewiston, ID.  She lived in Idaho until the late 1950's and then moved to St. Thomas. She worked at the American Legion in St. Thomas.  Donna was united in marriage to Larry D. Mattson on April 21, 1979 in St. Thomas.  The couple made their home near Grafton.  She worked at a telemarketing business in Grafton until she retired.  She moved to the Lutheran Sunset Home in December of 2005 and developed many great friendships there.  Her husband Larry passed away on November 1, 2007.

Donna was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church and WELCA of St. Thomas, ND. She enjoyed baking, making crafts, playing bingo and cards, and was a fabulous cook. She especially loved spending time with her daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren.
