Donna E. Kendall, age 87 of Milton, ND passed away Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the Altru Hospital of Grand Forks.
Donna E. Herseth was born was born May 16, 1929 in rural Milton, ND, the daughter of the late Oscar and Anna (Swanson) Herseth. She attended rural school near Milton and graduated from Milton High School. Donna was united in marriage to James Kendall on November 14, 1947 in Mountain, ND. The couple made their home in Milton and wintered in Arizona. James passed away September 17, 1991. She ran an upholstery business, was an accomplished seamstress making anything from Barbie doll clothes to wedding gowns. She also had Wee Houz Museum where she displayed all of her miniature houses that she designed and built. She was united in marriage to Victor Schneider on July 5, 2000 in Milton, ND. The couple made their home in Milton and wintered in California. Victor passed away May 21, 2005. Donna returned to Milton where she continued to make her home until the time of her death.
She was a member of the Milton Lutheran Church and WELCA.
Donna is survived by her children: Teresa (Alfred) Moore, Drayton, ND; Debra Kendall, Richmond, VA; Patricia (Roman) Morin, Everson, WA, Richard (Daidre) Kendall, Cavalier, ND; Greg (Deb) Kendall, Lynden, WA; Pamela (Randy Rees) Kendall, Milton, ND; Chris (Barbara) Kendall, Milton, ND; daughter-in-law, Sheila Kendall, Broken Bow, NE; 19 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren; sisters: Norma (Eldred) Opsahl, Twin Valley, MN; Pat (Mitchell) Kwiatkowski, Oregon; Joann Magnusson, Belle Plaine, MN. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her husbands, James and Victor; parents; son, Mike Kendall; grandson, Jason Kendall; sister, Iris Melberg; brother, Irwin Herseth and infant brother Russell.
Funeral services will be Friday, February 17, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. at the Milton Lutheran Church of Milton, ND. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Edinburg. Friends may also call at the church on Friday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Milton Memorial Cemetery in the spring.
