Donald Gene Lutovsky

Donald Gene Lutovsky, age 63, of Grafton, ND, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Altru Hospital of Grand Forks. Donnie was born on January 15, 1950 in Grafton, ND, the son of Leonard and Delphine (Misialek) Lutovsky. He attended elementary school in Voss and Minto, ND and graduated from Minto High School in 1968. Donnie enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served in Vietnam. He received his honorable discharge in 1972. In 1976, he enlisted in the United States Army and served in Germany until his honorable discharge in 1978. Donnie returned home and lived in the Minto, Voss, and Grafton areas. He worked as a painter for his long-time friend Larry Vavrosky until his retirement in 2012. Donnie is survived by his mother Delphine Lutovsky, Fargo, ND; siblings: Bob (Joan), Grand Forks, ND; Roger, Hamilton, MT; Nancy (Ron) Gette, Gainesville, TX; Sandra, Fargo, ND; Peggy, Bismarck, ND; Jim, Manteno, IL; Kris (Alan) Hintz, Fargo, ND; and Jennifer (Darin) Johnson, Maple Grove, MN; seven nieces and nephews, and five great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his father, Leonard Lutovsky, and his sister-in-law, Sandra (Jim) Lutovsky. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 29, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Minto. Visitation will be on Sunday, April 28th, from 5-7 PM, with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home in Grafton. Friends may also call at the church on Monday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Minto. Military rites will be provided by the Minto American Legion Post and the North Dakota National Guard Honor Guard.
