Dereck J. Veidt, age 47 of Park River and formerly of Grafton, ND passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2009 at the Altru Hospital of Grand Forks. Dereck J. Veidt was born January 8, 1962 in Fargo, ND. He moved to the Grafton Developmental Center in April of 1962 and lived there until moving to Bismarck in July of 1984. On July 26, 1989 he moved to Park River where he has lived since. Dereck was currently working through Friendship, Inc.
Dereck is survived by his special friends; Meridee Jorgenson of Devils Lake, ND; Alice Lund, Marlowe Simon, Gerald Munro, Ramona Delorme, Jeanne Berge, Ellen Ternquist all of Park River, ND and all his caregivers past and present. He was preceded in death by his friend Joanne Burger.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at 1:45 P.M. at the All Faith???s Chapel at the Grafton Developmental Center. Friends may call at the chapel on Tuesday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Grafton Developmental Cemetery.
The Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton is in charge of the arrangements.
