Dennis Duane Mattson

Dennis Duane Mattson, age 68, of Grafton, ND passed away Friday, February, 15, 2019 at his home in Grafton.

Dennis Duane Mattson was born March 9, 1950 in Grafton, ND, the son of the late Arlen “Buck” and Joyce (Larson) Mattson.  He attended school in Grafton and started working construction.  He worked for Adamsen Construction, Brodeur’s Construction, Alchem and Marvins Windows.  Dennis was united in marriage to Jeannie Burns on March 9, 1974 in Grafton, ND.  The couple made their home in Grafton where they raised their family.

He was a member of the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Grafton, ND.  He enjoyed wood working, grilling, family cookouts and hunting.

Dennis is survived by his sons:  Brian (Mary) Mattson, Hillsboro, ND; Chris (Jaime) Mattson, Grafton, ND; Shawn (Angela) Mattson, Grafton, ND; grandchildren:  Joey, Levi, Mark, John, Jack, Alyza, Brynnlie, Marie, Dalia, Ibrahim, Lucy, Faya, Saleem; great granddaughters: Gemma Jean and Lillia;  siblings:  Tim (Patty) Mattson, Bismarck, ND; Terry (Judy) Mattson, St. Thomas, ND; Gail (Tim) Belland, Dickinson, ND; Susan (Steve) Schiebe, Grafton, ND; Pat (Susan Reck) Mattson, Forest River, ND.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeannie, parents, sister, Rita Dvorak and several aunts and uncles.

Memorial Services will be Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at 4:00 P.M. at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton.  Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Inurnment will be at the St. John’s Catholic Cemetery.
