Delores M Desautel

Delores M. DeSautel, age 95 of Grafton, North Dakota passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Valley ElderCare Center of Grand Forks.

Delores M. Peterka was born September 27, 1921 in Grafton, North Dakota the daughter of the late W.S. and Josephine (Burianek) Peterka. She grew up and attended school in Park River, ND. Delores was united in marriage to Robert W. DeSautel on November 27, 1945 in Park River. The couple lived and farmed northeast of Grafton. He passed away on Dec. 19, 1982. Delores remained on the farm until 2005 when she moved into Grafton. In 2008 she moved to Grand Forks.

Delores was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and Altar Society and the Eagle’s Auxiliary.

She is survived by her children: Cheryl (Don) Burns, Grafton, ND; Joanie Anderson, Grand Forks, ND; Bonnie DeSautel, Grand Forks, ND; Robert DeSautel, Grafton, ND; four grandchildren: Robert L. (Peggy) Anderson, Nicollette (Josh)  Jaster, Trisha B. (Branden) Nelson and Shane DeSautel, six great grandchildren: Jack and Ben Anderson, Jace Walters, Noah Nelson, Boden Jaster and Camila Nelson, her sister, Tracy (Phil) Marxen, Minneapolis, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-in-law, Vernie Anderson, brothers: Pete and Ben and sisters: Beatrice Karnik and Marietta Campbell.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 10: 30 A.M. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Grafton. Visitation will be Tuesday for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in the spring.
