Deborah Arlene Olafson

Deborah A. Olafson, age 68 of Grand Forks, ND, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Valley Senior Living on Columbia, Grand Forks, ND.

Deborah Arlene Olafson was born September 25, 1951 in Park River, North Dakota, the daughter of the late Gustaf and Helen (Thompson) Olafson.  She was raised by her aunt until the age of eight and then moved to the Developmental Center of Grafton.  She later moved to Grand Forks, where she continued to make her home until the time of her death.  She loved to spend time with family and going on vacations.  She went to Camp Confidence, Medora and Nashville.  She loved to volunteer at the Grand Forks Humane Society.

Deborah is survived by her sister Mary (Leonard Petrick) Lerud, Grand Forks, ND; nephew, Rob (Janel) Petrick, Grand Forks, ND and great niece, Macaela Petrick, Grand Forks, ND.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside services will be Thursday, June 11, 2020 at 2:00 at the Pioneer Lutheran Cemetery, Gardar, ND.  Social distancing guidelines will be followed and masks are encouraged.
