Deborah Ann Janick

Deborah A. Janick, age 57 of St. Thomas, ND passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at her home in St. Thomas. Deborah A. Donovan was born September 14, 1956 in Milwaukee, WI the daughter of Leo Puerner and Susan A. Groenewold. She grew up and attended school in Milwaukee, graduating with a degree in nursing from the Milwaukee Area Technical College. While in college she worked at St. Luke's Hospital. Deborah met Greg Janick in 1991 and the couple was married in 1996. They moved to St. Thomas, ND in 2007 and she worked as a LPN at Wedgewood Manor in Cavalier until her health forced her to retire. Deborah is survived by her husband, Greg Janick, St Thomas, ND; her daughter, Michelle Donovan (Carlos Rodriguez), West Allis, WI; her father, Leo Puerner, Union Grove, WI; two brothers, Rocky (Tara) Donovan, and Mike (Allison) Donovan, both of Racine, WI; three sisters; Lora Penza, Krista Jones and Kara Puerner, all of Union Grove, WI; and two grandchildren: Jonah and Lily Rodriguez. She was preceded in death by her mother and step-father. Funeral services will be Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. at Grafton Lutheran Church. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church on Thursday for one hour prior to the service.
