David Charles Moe, age 63 of Grafton, North Dakota passed away Monday, September 12, 2022 after a long hard-fought battle with cancer.
David Charles Moe was born June 16, 1959, in Grand Forks, North Dakota, the son of the late Roger and Joanie (Jarvi) Moe. He attended and graduated from Grafton High School. After high school he wanted to attend college for Forestry but felt obligated to start farming with his dad and grandpa. David met the love of his life, Kelly, in June 1974. David and Kelly were united in marriage on July 27, 1979 in Grafton, North Dakota. The couple made their home in Grafton where he owned and operated several businesses. His businesses included: Red River Fur and Archery, Mexican Restaurant, a catering business, Tiffany’s Café, and the Country Smokehouse. After his retirement the couple spent their time at their lake home at Arnesen’s Rocky Point where he also was a cook. The people at Arnesen’s had become a second family to David and Kelly.
David was the founder of the Elderly Relief Fund. He loved hunting, fishing, arrowhead hunting and anything outdoors. The only thing he loved more than the outdoors was spending time with his grandchildren.
David is survived by his wife, Kelly Moe, Grafton, ND; his children: Tiffany (DJ) Gosselin, Grafton, ND; Joshua (Cristy) Moe, Grafton, ND; Nick Moe, Grafton, ND; his grandchildren: Abigail and Marcus Moe, Bailey and RaeLynn Gosselin and Charles Moe. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Joanie Moe.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Grafton, ND. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church on Thursday for one hour prior to the service.
