David A. Daley, age 63 of Park River, ND passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Sanford Hospital of Fargo, ND.
David A. Daley was born August 22, 1952 in Grafton, ND the son of the late Ralph and Violet (Charon) Daley. He attended rural school at Mandt, ND and graduated from Park River High School in 1971. In 1972 he enlisted in the North Dakota National Guard and he completed his basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. He returned to Park River and worked for Torkelson Farms, Midgarden Farms and Ed’s Standard. He was also in charge of the Park River School Buses and drove bus for one year. He was united in marriage to Anna Mae Greicar on October 26, 1974 in Pisek, North Dakota. In 1975 the couple moved to Wahpeton, ND where David enrolled at the North Dakota State School of Science in the Plumbing and Heating program. In 1977 the couple moved back to Park River and he went to work for Hunter Plumbing and Heating. He later worked for George LaHaise and Sons in Grafton for 17 years. He was called into active duty in 1990 and served in Desert Storm. In 1994 he went to work at the Park River Good Samaritan Center and worked there until his health forced him to retire in 2005.
David was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, rural Hoople, ND, the Paul Farup American Legion where he was a past commander. He also served on the Honor Guard for a number of years. He was a member of the 40 et 8, the Cooties, VFW, AMVETS, Association of Vietnam Veterans of America, served on the Park River Volunteer Fire Department and was a past chief and assistant chief and rescue captain.
David is survived by his children: Jennifer (Dennis) Kubat, Jeffrey (Tami) Daley both of Park River and Laura Munoz (Brad Fredericksen) of Grafton, ND; his grandchildren: Ian, Abigail and Isaak McCombs, Kieran Sullivan, Kenzie and Jax Kubat, Corban & Camden Daley, Maison, Kegan, Makenna, Kyden Munoz, Scarlett Fredericksen, step-grandchildren: Briley & Blake Kubat and Alexis & Piper Fredericksen, his former wife, Anna Mae Daley, Park River, ND; his siblings: Ellen Arnold, Jerome (Delores) Daley, Paul (Boonmee) Daley, Glenn (Vonnie) Daley, all of Grafton, ND; Steve Daley, Park River, ND; Nadine (Ronald) Dolan, Gilbert, AZ; Dennis Daley, Grafton, ND; Elaine (Steve) Mattson, West Fargo, ND. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Richard, son-in-law, Kyle Munoz, sisters-in-law, Julie and Tammy Daley, brother-in-law, Robert Arnold and niece, Rhonda Eidenshink.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. at Zion Lutheran Church rural Hoople, ND. Visitation will be Monday from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Zion Lutheran Church, rural Hoople. Friends may also call at the church on Tuesday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the church cemetery. Military rites will be provided by the Paul Farup American Legion Post and the North Dakota National Guard.
