Danielle K Bjerke-Hagen

Danielle K Bjerke-Hagen, age 26 of Park River, ND passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at the Altru Hospital of Grand Forks.

Danielle Bjerke was born April 11, 1991 in Cavalier, ND, the daughter of Arnold Bjerke and LuWanna Haave. She attended school in Edinburg and Park River, graduating from Park River High School in 2009. She then attended the University of North Dakota and graduated with a Master’s Degree in Social Work in December of 2013. She was united in marriage to Alex Hagen on October 11, 2014 in Edinburg, ND. She was an intern at Fort Totten and Park River Good Samaritan Center before starting at Pembina County Social Services where she worked for the last 3 years.

She was a member of the Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church of Park River, a former member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Edinburg and the Pisek American Legion Auxiliary. She loved riding her horse Hollywood and spending time with her dogs Jeter and Harley. She loved playing volleyball, riding 4-wheelers, attending UND Fighting Sioux hockey games, music, hanging out with friends, watching movies, babysitting and spending time with her nephew.

Danielle is survived by her husband Alex, Park River, parents LuWanna (Francis) Lovcik, Pisek, ND, Arnold Bjerke, Edinburg, ND, maternal grandmother Margaret Haave, Park River, ND, Godmother Darlene Haave, Warren, MN, mother and father-in-law Julie (Harold) Johnston, Crystal, ND, brothers-in-law: Adam (Nikki Bohn) Hagen, Wahpeton, ND and Aaron (Dana Anderson) Hagen, Oregon, nephew Creasi, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Otto and Agnes Bjerke, maternal grandfather Willard Haave and aunt Dinah Amundrud.

Funeral services will Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at the Trinity Lutheran Church of Edinburg. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery of Edinburg.
