Daniel Raymond Dunnigan, age 61 of Minto, ND passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at Sanford Medical Center of Fargo, ND. Daniel Raymond Dunnigan was born May 20, 1952 in Langdon, ND the son of Raymond and Rita (Fischer) Dunnigan. He attended rural school at Beaulieu, ND and graduated from Walhalla High School in 1970. He attended Lake Region Community College in Devils Lake graduating in Welding, Drafting and Cabinet Building. He worked as a site supervisor at the missile bases in Concrete and Nekoma, ND. Daniel was united in marriage to Linda Marie Wild on July 16, 1977 in Olga, ND. In May of 1978 the couple moved to Minto, ND and he worked as plant manager for Harriston Industries. Dan was diagnosed with carcinoid cancer in June of 1999. He was always upbeat and optimistic persevering through many challenging times throughout his illness. He was a kind and gentle man who took wonderful care of his family and his friends. After 33 years he retired from Harriston Industries due to illness. He sorely missed his work and his second family. He was very loved and will be greatly missed. Dan is survived by his wife Linda of Minto, ND; children: Jarrod Dunnigan, Minto, ND; Adam (O'Mara) Dunnigan, Severna Park, MD; Kara Lynn (Andrew) Langowski, Watford City, ND; Ross Dunnigan, Grand Forks, ND; two grandchildren: Kinley Dunnigan and Avery Langowski, his mother, Rita Dunnigan, Walhalla, ND; siblings: Debbie Hudson, Rolla, ND; Nancy Dunnigan (David Koesher), Minneapolis, MN; Mary (David) Saxowsky, West Fargo, ND; Shirley (Wayne) Breimeier, Beulah, ND; Earl (Beverly) Dunnigan, Walhalla, ND and Edgar (Deanne) Dunnigan, McVille, ND. He was preceded in death by his father Raymond and brother-in-law, Tim Hudson. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, July 8, 2013 at10:30 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Minto. Visitation will be Sunday from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church on Monday for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at 3:00 PM Monday at St. Clotilde Catholic Cemetery of Milton, ND.
