Daniel J Dub

Daniel J. Dub, age 75 of Pisek, ND passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Center of Park River.

Daniel J. Dub was born June 17, 1943 on the family farm near Park River, ND the son of the late Joseph and Julia (Janousek) Dub. He attended rural school in Vernon Township and graduated from the Walsh County Agricultural School in Park River. Following his education he started farming with his father. He served in the United States Army from 1965-1967 serving in France and Germany. Upon his discharge he returned home and continued farming. Dan was united in marriage to Delores Jarolimek on May 15, 1970 in Veseleyville, ND. Couple lived and farmed near Pisek unitl retiring in the early 2000’s and moving into Pisek.

Dan was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Park River, ND; the Pisek Volunteer Fire Department, Pisek American Legion and served on the Walsh County Rural Water Board. He loved to fish and play pinochle and enjoyed gardening.

Dan is survived by his wife, Delores, Pisek, ND; children: Danny Dub Jr. and Joel Dub both of Pisek, ND; Michael (Dawn) Dub, Valencia, CA; his sisters: Elaine (Myron) Varaberg, Shakopee, MN and Mary Brown, Spring TX; his brother, Jim (Monica) Dub, Park River, ND. He was preceded in death by parents, sister, Dorothy Karas and brothers: Billy and Joseph “Wayne” Dub.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Park River. Visitation will be Wednesday for one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Park River, ND in the spring.

Military Rites will be provided by the Pisek American Legion Post and the North Dakota National Guard Honor Guard.
