Daniel Jerrol Aaland

Daniel Jerrol Aaland, age 74 of Grafton, ND passed away Saturday, April 23, 2011 at the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton. Daniel Jerrol Aaland was born December 5, 1936 in Hoople, ND, the son of the late Morgan "Pat" and Ingeborg (Marifjeren) Aaland. He attended school at Hoople, and worked as a bookkeeper for the family farms and the Aaland Potato Company. Dan was united in marriage to Melinda Bakken of Hoople on July 23, 1973. The couple made their home in Grafton. Dan played accordion, guitar and piano. He also enjoyed collecting cars and reading. Dan retired from the farming operations in 2003. He was a member of First Lutheran Church, Hoople, ND. Daniel is survived by his wife Melinda, Grafton, ND. He is preceded in death by his parents. Private family services will be held.
