Dale A. Erlanson

April 15, 1939 — July 10, 2017

Dale A. Erlanson, age 78 of Adams, ND passed away on Monday, July 10, 2017 at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND.

Dale Allan Erlanson was born April 15, 1939 in Grafton, ND the son of the late Albert and Mabel (Markusen) Erlanson. He grew up and attended school in Hoople, ND. Following his education he served in the United States Army from October 1957 to October of 1960. He was stationed in Thule, Greenland for several months, which he enjoyed very much. Following his discharge he lived in Superior Wisconsin and Marquette, Michigan. Dale drove semi truck for Senske Trucking in Grand Forks before retiring.

Dale was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, rural Hoople, ND and the Hoople American Legion Post.

He is survived by his sister, Linda (Al) Freeman, Springfield, VA; nephews: Jeff (Deanna), Todd (Tammy), Gregory (Darcy) Freeman, all of Virginia; a family friend, Gayle Hove King of Adams, ND. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 21, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. at Zion Lutheran Church, Rural Hoople, ND. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton, ND and Friday for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, rural Hoople, ND. Military rites will be provided by the Hoople American Legion and the North Dakota Nationa Guard.
