Corey Arlo Skavhaug

Corey Arlo Skavhaug, age 61, passed away on Oct. 1, 2020 at his home in Park River, ND.

Corey was born Nov. 29, 1958 in Park River to Arlow and Harriet Skavhaug of Adams, ND.  Corey lived in Park River most of his adult life.  He received residential and vocational services through Friendship, Inc.  Corey entered Friendship's day residential program in 1986.  He took pride in working hard and through his determination, he was able to develop his own business called Corey's Canine Cookies which were sold in local businesses.

Corey enjoyed attending church, Park River Bible Camp, and numerous community events.  He loved the outdoors, dogs, coffee, music, dancing, picnics, dining out with friends, swinging in his backyard, Jenga game challenges and giving big hugs.

Corey is survived by his cousins and all the very special Friendship staff who he developed relationships with throughout his lifetime,

Corey is preceded in death by his father, grandparents, aunts and uncles.  He will be laid to rest with them at Sarepta Lutheran Cemetery, rural Adams, ND.
