Clara A. Budish

Clara A. Budish, age 91 of Park River, ND, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Center of Park River. Clara A. Penas was born November 9, 1921 on a farm in Kensington Township, rural Park River, ND, the daughter of the late Jay and Mary (Schufletowski) Penas. She was reared and educated in Park River. On November 11, 1939 she was united in marriage to Felix Budish at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Park River. The couple made their home in Park River. Clara worked at the Good Samaritan Center and St. Ansgar's Hospital for many years. Felix passed away on August 19, 1993. She was a lifetime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was also very active in the St. Mary's Altar Society and Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed canning, sewing, cooking, baking, and entertaining family and friends. She is survived by her son Gary (Shelley) Budish, Park River, ND, daughter-in-law Nancy Budish, Fargo, ND, grandchildren: Brad (Kim) Budish, TX, Stephanie (Jon) Logan, TX, Derek Budish, Park River, ND, great grandchildren: Shae, Annsley, Avynn Budish, and Joshua Logan all of Texas, brothers: Glenn Penas, Park River, ND, Clinton (Carole) Matthews, OR, Clark Penas, TX, sisters: Jennifer Morris, Jamestown, ND, Carrie (Harlan) Larson, Lompac, CA, brother-in-law Jack Johnson, Billings, MT, sister-in-law Doris Penas, Carrington, ND, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Felix, sons: Donald and Lawrence, brothers: Lawrence Penas, Dan Penas and Philip Matthews, sister Vera Johnson, sisters-in-law: Marcella Penas and Myrtle Penas, and brother-in-law Pat Morris. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Park River. Visitation will be Friday from 5-6 with a prayer service at 6:00 P.M. at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Park River. Friends may also call at the church for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
