Christ T. Frovarp

Christ T. Frovarp, age 92 of Park River, ND passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at First Care Health Center of Park River, surrounded by his loved ones.

Christ Frovarp was born February 16, 1934 in Vesta Township, Walsh County, North Dakota, to the late Calmer and Sophia (Wrubleski) Frovarp. He was raised in rural Adams, the sixth of nine children. He attended country schools in Vesta Township, until attending high school at the Walsh County Agriculture School in Park River. Christ enlisted in the United States Marine Corp in 1954 and served his country until his discharge, as sergeant in 1957. After his discharge, Christ moved back to the Midwest and began his family, welcoming Melody, Cynthia, Daniel and Dean. He owned and operated the “Del-C-Bar” in Adams from 1969-76. It was during this time when he began over the road trucking. Christ was blessed with two more children, Stacie and Chad, completing his family. Christ moved to Park River in 1986 and continued to drive semi. He drove for Keith Johannesson  the last twenty years, until 2013, when he retired from driving at 80 years young.

Christ enjoyed gardening. He could often be found mowing the Frovarp homeplace, that his nephew Brad now farms. He loved being connected to the land. He loved drives in the country and shooting gophers with the kids. He enjoyed deer hunting and teaching his children and grandchildren to hunt. He could also be found fishing on a nice afternoon. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, often sharing stories about the “good old days”.

Christ is survived by his children: Melody Huseth, Dalton, MN, Cynthia (Doug) Veum, West Fargo, ND, Daniel Frovarp, Edinburg, ND, Dean Moebius, Dalton, MN, Stacie Berberich, Lake Elmo, MN, and Chadwick Frovarp, Park River, ND; 12 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews also survive. He was proceeded in death by his parents, sisters: Irene Howey, Elsie Mundy, and Thelma Bolduc; and brothers: Orvin, Curtis, Marvin, Willard, and Gaylord. Christ was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Graveside services will take place on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at the St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery, rural Park River. Military rites and Inurnment will follow.
