Charlotte Ann Dahl

Charlotte Ann Dahl, age 76 of Park River, ND passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at the Altru Hospital of Grand Forks. Charlotte Ann Black was born on September 25, 1934 in Drayton, ND the daughter of the late G.W. and Altheir (Empey) Black. She was raised and attended school in Bowesmont, ND graduating in 1952. Charlotte attended Mayville State Teachers College receiving her teaching certificate in 1954. She then taught elementary school in Buxton, Drayton, Dickinson and Hillsboro, ND. She concluded her teaching career substituting in the Park River Elementary School. On June 21, 1959, Charlotte was united in marriage to Allen K. Dahl of Park River, ND. The couple made their home, raising their two daughters on their family farm in Park River. Later in life, Charlotte enjoyed reading, china painting, watching basketball and working as a clerk at the grocery store in Park River. Charlotte loved spending time with her family and was especially proud of her son-in-laws and grandchildren. Charlotte was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Park River and a former member of the DECCA Club. Charlotte always presented herself with dignity and will be deeply missed by her family. She is survived by her daughters: Su Ellen (Michael) Okeson, Adams, ND; Cindy (Kevin) Danielson, Grand Forks, ND; grandchildren: Heather and Ethan Okeson, Adams, ND; Kaitlyn and Jordyn Danielson, Grand Forks, ND. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Charles.
