Spc. Charles P. "Charlie" Tweten, age 22, of Grafton, ND died Saturday, June 27, 2015 in Grafton. Charles Paul Tweten was born May 4, 1993 in Grand Forks, ND the son of Rock and Sandi (Brodeur) Tweten. He attended schools in Grafton, graduating from Grafton High School in 20l2. He attended the University of North Dakota for one year. Charlie enlisted in the HHB,1-188th Air Defense Artillery of the North Dakota National Guard in October of 2010. He completed his basic training at Fort Benning, GA and completed his Advanced Individual Training at Fort Sill, OK. He was mobilized to Washington, D.C. with Bravo Battery, 1-188th Air Defense Artillery from May of 2013 - May of 2014 where he served as an Avenger Crewmember Gunner. He was currently living in Grafton and working at Marvin Windows. Charlie is survived by his parents, Sandi Brodeur, Grafton, ND; Rock Tweten, Grafton, ND; his brother, Sam Tweten and twin sister, Chloe Tweten; his maternal grandfather, Paul Brodeur, Grafton, ND. Several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Milton and Olive Tweten and maternal grandmother, Grace Brodeur. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at 11:30 A.M. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Grafton. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:30-11:30 A.M. at the church in Grafton. Interment will be at St. John's Catholic Cemetery. Military rites will be provided by the North Dakota National Guard Honor Guard.
