Charles E. Kosobud

Charles Edwin Kosobud, age 68 of Temple, OK and formerly of Grafton, ND passed away on August 13, 2011 at his home in Temple. Charles was born May 14, 1943 in Atlanta, GA the son of the late Edwin and Bessie (Kovarik) Kosobud. He grew up and attended school in Latona Township, Walsh County, ND. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Ortlip on July 11, 1964 in Crystal, ND. He enlisted in the US Army and served three tours in Vietnam. Following his discharge in lived in Sacramento, CA and worked for Allied Van Lines for 20 years. For the last 10 years he has been working for United Van Lines out of Temple, OK. Charles is survived by his children: Brian (Lisa) Kosobud, Minneapolis, MN; Dawn Kosobud (Jim Johnson), Grand Forks, ND; step-children: Michael Robertson and Theresa Robertson, both of Sacramento, CA; two grandchildren and one step-grandson and siblings: Joseph (Nancy) Kosobud, Minto, ND; Richard (Caprice) Kosobud, Lucerne Valley, CA; Michael (Lucy) Kosobud, Canyon Lake, TX; Thomas (Dory) Kosobud, Minto, ND; Kathryn (James) Gudajtes, Minto, ND; Susan Kosobud, Minto, ND. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, wives and step-children: Pamela Robertson and J.R. Robertson. Memorial services will be Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Visitation will be Saturday for one hour prior to the service.
