Cecil H. Rollefstad, age 89 of Park River, ND, passed away Monday, May 23, 2016 at the First Care Health Center of Park River.

Cecil H. Rollefstad was born September 8, 1926 in Grafton, ND, the son of the late Carl and Hilda (Veum) Rollefstad. He attended school in Crystal and Hoople. After his schooling he worked on the family farm until he was drafted into the U.S. Marines at the age of 18. He returned to the Hoople area and began painting. Cecil was united in marriage to Dorothy Evenson on September 16, 1951 in Hoople, ND. The couple made their home in Hoople and later settled in Park River where they continued to make their home until the time of his death.

He was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church, Park River and the Park River American Legion.

Cecil is survived by his wife, Dorothy Rollefstad, Park River, ND; his children: Gary Rollefstad, Mesa, AZ; Cathy Moore, Greenwood, AR; Robert Rollefstad, Seattle, WA; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Richard, parents, three sisters and two brothers.

Memorial Services will be Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Park River. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
