Carol J. Kliniske

Carol J. Kliniske, age 64 of Grafton, ND passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2017 with her family by her side at the Unity Medical Center of Grafton.

Carol J. Nupdal was born June 19, 1952 in Grafton, ND, the daughter of the late Thorarinn and Frieda (Stark) Nupdal.  She grew up and graduated school in St. Thomas, ND and was united in marriage to Michael Kliniske on November 8, 1969 at the St.Thomas Catholic Church.  The couple resided there before moving to Grafton in 1979.  Carol worked at the lumber yard and ran a home daycare before becoming the office manager of Mike’s Repair until her retirement in 2016.

Carol was a member of the Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church and WELCA of Grafton.  She had a passion and talent for cross-stitching, enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles and fishing.  She was an avid Minnesota Twins baseball fan and never missed a game.  She loved spending time at the lake, and her grandchildren meant everything to her.

She is survived by her husband Mike, Grafton, ND, children: Chad (Connie) Kliniske, Grafton, ND, Amy (Dale) Stromsodt, Larimore, ND, Shawn (Jennifer) Kliniske, South St. Paul, MN and Aaron (Sabrina) Kliniske, West Fargo, ND; 7 grandchildren: Anthony Kliniske, Tyler Kliniske, Jacob Warnke, Levi Warnke, Calan Kliniske, Cohen Kliniske and Aveyah Kliniske; siblings: Gailene (Larry) Hueske, Dickinson, ND and Rod (Kristi) Nupdal, Grand Forks, ND; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Gary Nupdal.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 31, 2017 at 7:00 P.M. at the Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church of Grafton.  Visitation will be for two hours prior to the service at the church.
