Candace R Vondal

Candace R. Vondal, age 61 of Grand Forks, ND formerly of Walhalla, ND, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2014 at the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton with her family by her side. Candace R. Moore was born May 23, 1953 in Devils Lake, ND, the daughter of the late William J. and Donna (Dussome) Moore. She grew up and attended school in Walhalla, graduating in 1971. Following her education, she lived in Grand Forks, ND and Spokane, WA. She later returned to Grand Forks where she held various jobs. Her health forced her to quit working in February of 2013 and she moved in the Lutheran Sunset Home in November of 2014. She was a former member of the Walhalla Lutheran Church. She loved the time she was able to spend with her grandchildren. She is survived by her son Richard (Christie) Vondal, Grand Forks, ND, grandchildren: Ricky, Damian, Courtney, and Jocelyn Vondal, siblings: Barbara Dumas, Grafton, ND, William (Barb) Moore, Spokane, WA, Albert Moore, ID, Wendy (Jeff) Osborne, Spokane, WA, Keith (Tammy) Moore, Beulah, ND, Donald (Lisa) Moore, Northwood, ND, and sister-in-law Rhonda Yeado, Spokane, WA. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Dion, and brothers John and Ted. Memorial services will be Monday, December 1, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be at the Hillside Cemetery of Walhalla.
